Today was the first Friday of the month and for anyone who knows Grace Chapel, that means Coffee House!!! I had so much fun! I forgot how much I really enjoy being part of a worship team or band. We did a bunch of songs and then played Mau/Mao...although if your name is Isaiah, you would insist it's MAL and give penalty cards to those who do not pronounce it as such. I think it's just another reason to give a penalty card...maybe...or maybe not. But it is officially my new favorite game! Even though there maybe some parts I still don't understand. But I need to catch on quick or Isaiah will be the only Mau dealer and that might not be so good. Just kidding Isaiah! You did show mercy a few times tonight. :) So anyway get your pen and paper and copy down the instructions for play. Ready??? Okay, here goes...The rules of Mao are not to be discussed! If you want to know...we must play. And that's that! Seriously though, it's an amazingly fun game. Play it with us sometime and you will see. You will also be trying to not laugh the whole time.

I'm sorry Zay but thats the truth. Mike never said Mal, and I have no idea how you could play all those rounds with Mike saying "This is the game of MAU and the rules are not to be discussed" a billion times and still think that it is MAL!

Truthfully though, the way Isaiah says it quickly it could sound like either, so maybe Isaiah just misheard Mike and didn't actually MEAN to lead us all astray...But I will sure be glad to get no more penalties! LOL

Hopefully we'll have a good game of it the night of the coffee house. The only problem is I will probably be there a bit late. It will be Jessica's rehearsal dinner for the wedding the very next day!!! Oh my goodness, I can't even believe its coming up this close. Less than two weeks... Well I digressed... But back to the topic at hand. I will be there as soon as the rehearsal dinner is over and hopefully the trip down will not have been in vain! :)

I still haven't asked Alex yet, but I will! The only problem was I didn't think about his college/job interferring with practises, but of course Isaiah had to burst my happy little bubble my mentioning it. So we will see...yea...hopefully he can!! :)

You my dear are truly missed as well!!! We had a Pride and Prejudice movie night the other night and I kept thinking about you through the whole movie. Especially after seeing the picture of you in the regency dress! And being able to go to the ball! And learning all of the amazing dances from that time! I'm still not 100% sure how it's actually spelled either. But I had done a bit of research after playing the first game and being ever so confused myself. I looked it up on google or something, not because I wanted to learn the secretive rules, but because I was trying to figure out what it was actually called. Poor Isaiah, there was definitely some questioning on his pronuciation from the beginning. Although I'm sure he could still get away with calling it that since the rules are not to be discussed and who are we to argue with a Mau Master! (He's very very good at the dealer role!!!)
