Yesterday proved to be quite the stressful day at work! Nearing the end of the day we had an incident in which a consumers fingers got shut in a van door and at the very end of the day she needed to be taken to the emergency room for x-rays. In the midst of my stress and me calling family, service coordinators, day hab coordinators, etc. my desk phone beeps in and tried to get my attention. Unfortunately I was on my work cell with someone regarding the incident so I told the receptionist that I would just come out to reception. Still on the cell phone I make my way out to reception to see what Mary needs only to open the door to the lobby and see my sweetheart standing there holding a dozen roses and a very sweet card! I can't tell you how much better I instantly felt. Even though I still had to deal with the phone calls and emergency procedures the burden and weight of the stress lifted. Instead I felt incredibly adored and significant!

- In my 28 years of existence there is one thing that always holds true. God is God. Plain and simple; God is God. His word contains immeasureable truths that have always been and always will be. And while I may not know where I'm going in life and what I will be doing; God knows. And ultimately, that's all I need to know. That is all I need to trust.

Yay for flowers!!!
Awwwwww. Hehe.
Hehe, yeah...yay for flowers!!! The only problem is I don't have a vase and a drink pitcher just doesn't seem to do them any bit of justice in my mind so I refuse to put them in one. So I think I will hang them upside down to dry in a pretty arrangement... Any other suggestions??? lol
Aww...they were SO BEAUTIFUL AND SMELLED NICE TOO!!! LOL
Awwww!
So sweet!
Well, you do have picures and they can almost last a lifetime! hehe!
yeah....this comment is a little late......hehe
Those roses are BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!
I bet they just TOTALLY made your day!
Did you end up drying them?
Do you know what I did with some of the roses Isaiah gave me? I microwaved them! I read it on the internet! haha! It was one way to dry them QUICK!
But they didn't smell to great afterwards...hehe
but since I had 16 roses to experiment with it was ok :)
I few of the roses I just took off all the petals and let them dry in a little basket..... and I took some more petals and let them dry in a book! And those petals are SOOOOO soft and flat now! Its cool :)
but the majority of my roses I hung upside down in my dark closet..... along with some of the greenery and little white flowers :)
man....roses are sooooo much fun! hehehe...
I love being a girl!
:)
That's really wierd Ellen! I've never heard of microwaving flowers to dry them quicker! lol Does make me want to try it though!
But yes, I did dry them. I found some really simple sheer white ribbon at home and wrapped the stems entirely in the ribbon. Then I looped it around and hung the bouquet upside down with the greenery and everything for a week or two. They dried out very nice and I now have them hanging upside down on my wall so I can see them every day and enjoy them! :)
Ahhhh...but I didn't get 16! lol That must have been really special!!!
